Chiropractic is extremely safe when carried out by a properly qualified doctor of chiropractic. There has been extensive research showing that chiropractic treatment is significantly safer than NSAIDS (a common type of anti-inflammatory medication), painkillers and spinal surgery. When you first see your chiropractor you will receive an extensive examination, which may include x-rays and electromyographic studies, you will then be given a report of exactly what has been found in the examination. If your case is accepted by the chiropractor you will be offered a treatment plan, outlining the probable length of the course of the intended treatment, and we will inform you of any possible risks and discuss with you any concerns you may have. When you are satisfied that you fully understand your particular condition then the treatment program can commence.
